Duchateau is hiring Residential Sales Agents for the following territories:
- Minnesota/Wisconsin
- Louisiana/Arkansas/Mississippi/Oklahoma
- Missouri/Kansas/Nebraska
The Residential Sales Agent is responsible for generating sales growth in their assigned territory and explaining the Company product to prospects and customers. The residential sales agent is to specify our product through architects, designers, custom home builders and high-end retailers. Commission will be paid at 8% on all products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries
- Cold call new accounts and service existing accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with customers
- Promote the design and values of Company products
- Schedule and attend field calls with customers
- Set up samples displays and provide product samples to customers
- Provides samples to customers and answers questions about pricing and product availability
- Provide regular feedback via CRM and communication with the Regional Manager and/or channel VP
- Exceptional customer service standards
- Ability to build rapport with dealers and individuals at all levels and capacities, in person and by phone
- Ability to qualify and close prospects
- Ability to learn the company products and provide outstanding PK training
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to learn new technologies and apply to work flow
- Ability to follow through and be detail-oriented
- Ability to work with multiple priorities
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel within assigned territory and hold in person meetings using personal transportation
- Sales experience managing a territory
- Sales and/or sales support experience
- Customer service experience
- Hardwood Flooring sales or similar industry highly desirable
- Flooring, Wood, construction or similar industry experience highly desirable
- Experience working with a team to drive projects
- Track record of working in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Must have own transportation and provide proof of insurance and valid driver’s license

- Work in a complimentary role alongside Duchateau sales reps organizing A&D sales presentations
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries
- Cold call new accounts and service existing accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with A&D community
- Point of contact liaison from start-to-finish on specified projects
- Schedule and attend field calls with customers
- Be involved in A&D community events such as ASID, IIDA, HBA
- Provides samples to customers and answers questions about pricing and product availability
- Work collaboratively with team members
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Exceptional customer service standards
