The A&D Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales growth in their assigned territory and explaining the Company product to prospects and customers.

This position will be focused on designers and architects in the New York City area.

Starting base salary:  $85,000



Include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Work in a complimentary role alongside Duchateau sales reps organizing A&D sales presentations
  • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries
  • Cold call new accounts and service existing accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with A&D community
  • Point of contact liaison from start-to-finish on specified projects
  • Schedule and attend field calls with customers
  • Be involved in A&D community events such as ASID, IIDA, HBA
  • Provides samples to customers and answers questions about pricing and product availability
  • Work collaboratively with team members




  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Ability to build rapport with dealers and individuals at all levels and capacities, in person and by phone
  • Ability to qualify and close prospects
  • Ability to learn the company products and provide outstanding PK training
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn new technologies and apply to work flow
  • Ability to follow through and be detail-oriented

  • Sales experience managing a territory
  • Sales and/or sales support experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Hardwood Flooring sales or similar industry highly desirable
  • Flooring, Wood, construction or similar industry experience highly desirable
  • Experience working with a team to drive projects
  • Track record of working in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Must have own transportation and provide proof of insurance and valid driver’s license
