PRODUCT FUN FACT: WHAT’S IN A NAME
Each of our Guild collections has a unique set of names. Each color in the Lineage Series is named after some of the most popular female names of this generation. Each color in the Craft & Commerce Line bears the name of a traditional craftsman profession, celebrating the artisanship and craft that goes into each DUCHATEAU product. For the Makerlab Edition, we named each of the four colors after a woodworking tool or key structural element.
HISTORY FUN FACT: OUR FIRST HEADQUARTERS
When we first founded DUCHATEAU, we called a 900 square foot loft in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego home. As we grew over the years, so did our team. Before we finally moved out to our new Headquarters, we had 22 people crammed in to the space. We even had work stations set up in the kitchen! Customers who came to visit us were shocked at the chaos and sheer number of people! It was crowded, for sure, but it brought us closer together right from the beginning. It was a truly fun and exciting time.

Vice President of Marketing Patrick Bewley began his marketing career working for Williams Sonoma, the upscale gourmet and cooking store. He learned all about creating retail environments designed to increase sales…and began his lifelong love affair with cooking delicious and elegant food.
