JOB OVERVIEW

As a Sales Representative for a company that specializes in post-construction luxury home design and offers a comprehensive range of products such as kitchen cabinets, closets, vanities, flooring, wall coverings, and a curated selection of luxury home products including appliances and hard surfaces, this role is incremental in driving sales growth and expanding the company presence in the luxury home market. The Sales Representative must have a proven track record and robust book of business withing the luxury home segment. The primary focus of the role will be on engaging with designers, architects, developers, and specifiers to promote our exclusive product lines and establish lasting partnerships. The Sales Representative is expected to uphold our commitment to quality, innovation, and personalized design solutions.

  • Salary Range: $65K to $75K, plus commission
  • Shift:  Mon-Fri, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
  • Location: San Diego to Los Angeles sales territory, plus time at office in San Diego

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  Business Development:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in the luxury home design industry, including designers, architects, developers, and contractors.
  • Expand the company’s client base by acquiring new business opportunities and strategically targeting high-potential clients.
  • Leverage existing industry connections to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.

  Account Management:

  • Manage and nurture existing client relationships to foster repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs, concerns, and inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the design and product teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.

  Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

  Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that resonate with the luxury home design audience and continue to elevate our brand presence in the market.
  • Work closely with the sales team to share insights, provide mentorship, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

 Product Knowledge:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s product offerings, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in luxury home design to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.

Networking:

  • Actively engage in local networking activities, fostering connections for business development and increased market share.

Strategic Evaluation:

  • Assess existing partnerships and sales efforts by implementing improvements for enhanced market presence to effectively drive sales strategies.

Engaging Presentations:

  • Conduct captivating presentations to elevate our brand and leave a memorable impact on potential clients and partners in the design industry.

Market Insights:

  • Stay informed of emerging markets and trends, providing valuable insights to adapt strategies and stay ahead in the dynamic luxury market.

Collaborate on Design Solutions:

  • Work collaboratively with clients to provide end-to-end design solutions, aligning our products with their distinct projects and aspirations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Associate degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Competencies

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of luxury home products, design trends, and industry dynamics.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets in the luxury home market.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Designers, Architects, Developers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Build rapport and establish credibility with individuals at all levels and capacities, both in person and by phone.
  • Qualify and close prospects by providing outstanding product knowledge training and personalized solutions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiently and adapt to new technologies to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure attention to detail and follow-through in managing multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and work independently to drive results.
  • Demonstrate a strategic mindset with a customer-centric approach and a genuine passion for design.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to travel within the assigned territory, holding in-person meetings using personal transportation.
  • Stay informed about industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging trends.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience is required.
  • Proven track record as a sales manager in the luxury home design industry.
  • Established book of business within the luxury home market, including designers, architects, developers, and contractors.
