Job Overview

The Demand Planning and Compliance Specialist, under limited supervision, manages the order fulfillment process for materials across the business. This role also manages regulatory compliance for vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Supply Chain Manager and International Vendor Relations Director to coordinate domestic and international orders and large key vendors
  • Manages documentation and follow up of US Federal Compliance and state requirements and certification requirements with all vendors under the respective regions
  • Conducts due diligence of Compliance requirements with vendors, which may include on-site inspections, tracing of the supply chain, and ensure appropriate documentation retained by the vendor
  • Review and maintenance of documents related to regulatory compliance, particularly as they relate to the Lacey Act, CARB Phase 2, and EPA Toxic Substance Control Act Title VI
  • Will be responsible for providing recommendations to upper management about the acceptance or rejection of materials based on applicable regulations
  • Will review product marketing materials, finished goods packaging, and other applicable labeling and documentation to meet regulatory requirements before material is provided to consumers, distributors, or retailers
  • Monitors and maintains healthy inventory levels by creating inventory forecasts and adjusting production as needed
  • Manages and maintains quality vendor communications and availability of production materials. Ensures timely delivery of product to warehouse destination
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of reports to be presented to the Senior Supply Chain Manager
  • Demonstrates the ability to interpret data and use it as a basis for recommendations to the business
  • Places orders to vendors and partners

Experience

  • Five years or more supply chain, procurement experience
  • Worked cross functionally and support multiple areas across the business
  • Experience investigating, monitoring and documenting compliance and/or warranty materials
  • Flooring, Wood, construction or similar industry experience highly desirable
  • Experience working in an international manufacturing company preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Mandarin) preferred
  • Track record of working in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Experience working with an ERP System (i.e. NetSuite, NetStock)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience working with team collaboration tools
